The Closet With A View
Most homes today aren’t designed with an exterior window in the closet, but older homes often had smaller closets. And with today’s emphasis on a well-rounded wardrobe, sometimes a new closet expansion includes a window in order to have adequate space for clothing, shoes and accessories.
If you like to see your ensemble in various types of light before you get dressed, a window is a great accessory. But it could limit some of your options for clothing storage.
Never fear, though. Marco Closets is here with the perfect solution. Storage accessories, like these cubbies, can be a good solution on the sides of the window, with shelves below for shoes and smaller accessories. Space is maximized with the use of drawers and overhead cabinets in this example.
Even if your closet is under the eaves of your house, the nature of a custom closet is just that – custom. Shelves and other storage areas can be modified to fit your project, even if your space isn’t a perfect rectangle or square.
