Light, Louvers, Action!
You may like the look of custom wood plantation shutters, but wonder how they work. And, once you adjust the louvers, will they stay in place? Marco Shutters offers two options. In the photo above, you can see a vertical rod that allows you to adjust the level of light.
In a wide window such as this one, it’s possible to adjust each shutter panel individually. When you want to achieve a certain mood, or block the glare from something outside, you can open only one or all four shutter panels.
We also have a hidden tilt rod option, shown below.
In this style, there’s no vertical center rod. The operation of the louver is the same – all panels can be individually adjusted, and for the most part, there is no difference in performance.
Choosing the hidden tilt rod operation option is slightly more expensive due to the cost of components and labor- about $25 per panel. The clean and elegant look created with this option requires less effort to maintain and can be well worth the investment.
Whichever option you choose, Marco’s superior construction methods increase joint strength and ensure that louvers stay at whatever tilt angle is set. Call us today at (402) 778-5818 to find out how we can beautify your living spaces with our custom wood plantation shutters.
